Cantina Le Bignele wine estate and its farmhouse will welcome you for three nights: it is located in the area of Valpolicella Classica, just a few kilometers from Verona and Lake Garda.
Its roots run deep, dating back to 1818, and today Cantina Le Bignele still carries on the family’s wine-making traditions. Discover the hilly scenery of Valpolicella, cradle of the renowned Amarone DOCG – Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin – and savor the typical specialties of the territory.
During your stay, in addition to a dinner in a typical restaurant where you will taste the traditional dishes of Verona, you will enjoy two visits/tastings.
A guided tour of Cantina Le Bignele with the winemaker will lead you through the world of Valpolicella wine. The visit includes an overview of the winery and its vineyards, the explanation of the production techniques of Amarone, with its special drying process, the way Valpolicella Ripasso is produced and then appreciate its different characteristics through a guided tasting of wines: Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto.
A guided tour and tasting at a historical salami and cheese company will lead you through the world of Valpolicella food. You will taste a selection of cured cold cuts and aged cheese, including the “Amarone aged Drunken Cheese”, paired with homemade mustard, jellies and jams.
