Description
Don’t miss the chance to spend an exclusive week-end through the beauties of Rome, one of the most beloved cities in the world.
You will be welcomed at the Monti Palace hotel, an elegant contemporary hotel inaugurated in August 2016.
Housed in a 19th century patrician building the Monti Palace is centrally located in the middle of the picturesque Monti district which was once the very first neighborhood of the Eternal City.
The metro station is just around the corner. Take the metro to easily get to St. Peter’s Church, the Vatican Museums and Castel Sant’Angelo; while it will take you just a 5-minute walk to reach the Colosseum. Termini train station is just a few steps away from the hotel.
The 55 rooms and suites are all equipped with refined and elegant design furniture, bathrooms with precious marbles with a wide shower and fitted with every comfort. You will also enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the city.
Go straight up to the Rooftop bar Tiziano Terrace by Monti View, which every day offers breakfast and bar service. At Tiziano Terrace, on the evening of your arrival you will taste a platter of cheese and cold cuts paired with a glass of wine, while enjoying a breathtaking view of Rome at sunset.
On the other hand, if you need to chill out after a full day of sightseeing and shopping, the Library Bar is the perfect place for you: a haven of peace to relax while sipping a delicious cocktail, reading or listening to pleasant music.
During your stay, don’t miss the opportunity to discover one of the most important archeological monuments of Rome: a private guide will lead you through the vestiges of the Archaeological area of the Stadium of Domitian, in the basement of Piazza Navona.
The vestiges of the Stadium of Domitian, now called the SOTTERRANEI DI PIAZZA NAVONA (Underground of Piazza Navona), are located in an area between Piazza Navona, Piazza di Tor Sanguigna and Via di Tor Sanguigna, about 4.50 meters from the street level. This archeological area hosts the vestiges of the one and only masonry stadium known to date in Rome. Following the temporary wooden experiments built by Caesar and Augustus, the area is one of the rare examples, along with that of Pozzuoli, known so far outside of Greece and throughout the eastern area.
