Set off on an exclusive e-bike weekend to discover Valpolicella vineyards and its world-class wine, Amarone.
You will stay at a Wine Relais located in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Surrounded by olive trees, vines and an astounding landscape, you will enjoy a guided e-bike tour and relaxing days.
Day 1
Arrival, check-in and accommodation in one of the comfortable rooms of the Wine Relais.
The Wine Relais is immersed in the vineyards of Valpolicella, located a few steps away from the amazing wine cellar: it definitely combines the passion for wellness and good wine!
The Wine Relais boasts a breathtaking view on the vineyards of the surrounding hills, an incredible setting of peace and green for every wine lover! It provides spacious, modern and very comfortable rooms, recently renovated by using natural and sustainable materials and preserving the original architectural elements. The facility also offers a swimming pool where you can enjoy your time at leisure.
Walk along Amarone Riserva trail: you will cross vineyards and learn something more about the traditional system of pergola farming and this particular soil. Afterwards, you will visit the “fruttaio”, the room where grapes are dried in order to produce the prestigiousAmarone and Recioto wines.
Finally, you will visit the winemaking and barrel room where wines are aged. This tour will give you the opportunity to taste the exclusive Amarone Riserva, produced only in the best vintages, which stands for the highest quality.
You will taste six wines finely paired with cold cuts, local cheese and a delicate farm-to-table jam. At the end of the tasting you can also get to know the delicious grape of Corvinone, a type of native grape used for the production of Amarone and Recioto, aged in Amarone Grappa.
The welcome dinner will be held at a restaurant near the Relais where you can taste typical dishes from the Valpolicella region.
Day 2
After a rich breakfast at the Relais, you will set off on an active day in Valpolicella Classica: saddle up for an amazing guided e-bike tour in this stunning landscape, departing from the Relais.
The route will wind along paths surrounded by unspoiled nature, among olive trees, vineyards, marble quarries and churches. The tour will be about 30 miles (50 km) long, but the pedal-assistance makes the path suitable for anyone. During the tour, you will stop at a family-run winery producing Amarone DOCG for a tasting of some Valpolicella wines and a light lunch with typical cold cuts and cheese.
